Is Shyness Negatively Associated with Self-Esteem? Is there a Gender Difference?

Background:Research shows that although there are exceptions, shyer people tend to evaluate themselves more negatively than less shy people.  Is this relationship similar for each gender group?  I chose this topic because it is nonexperimental, not difficult to measure, statistical analysis will be straightforward, and because it’s interesting.

What to do right away:  In class we discussed how to create a questionnaire packet in google forms.The order should be title, informed consent screen, each scale on a separate screen, and the debriefing statement.We discussed the importance of numbering each scale question (always starting with “1”) and numbering each response option, e.g., (1) Strongly disagree, (2) disagree, etc.

Be sure to cite the references correctly in APA format
