Based on the variables available in the datafile, develop 2 research hypotheses that can be tested using a correlation test, chi-square test, or t-test. (note: you may not simply repeat the tests that you ran for Data Analysis Assignment: Part 1).
You also need to report the descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation OR frequency and percent; decide which to present based on the level of measurement for the variable) for the following variables:
age
sex
race
marital status

CorrelationsOnline Correlation CalculatorYou can run correlations using the Pearson Correlation Coefficient Calculator (http://www.socscistatistics.com/tests/pearson/Default2.aspx (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. Links to an external site.). If you use this option, you will to also use a second calculator (link provided on the first page) to determine whether the results are statistically significant. Here’s the link to the video I created that explains how to use this calculator:https://youtu.be/sen9mJIEFtQLinks to an external site.Transcript of videoActionsHow to Write Up Your ResultsYou want the significance (2-tailed) number to be .05 or less.If the results are statistically significant, I would write up the results as: “There is a significant correlation between ** and **, r = **, p < .05.” (replace the "*" with information from your study output)If the results are NOT significant, I would say, "There is not a significant correlation between ** and **, r = **, p=**." Note: correlations only measure the strength of a linear relationship (not u-shaped or other types of relationships). The scores for Pearson’s correlation are always between -1 (perfect negative linear relationship) and +1 (perfect positive linear relationship). The correlation value does not change if the independent (x) and dependent (y) variables are interchanged. If there is a significant linear correlation between two variables, then 1 of 5 situations can be true:There is a direct cause and effect relationshipThere is a reverse cause and effect relationshipThe relationship may be caused by a third variableThe relationship may be caused by complex interactions of several variablesThe relationship may be coincidenta

Justification Paper
This project is based on the fact that adolescents face issues, and the problem is mental health,
which is associated mainly with their environment, which is affected in several ways. From their
homes to the places of study and where they play have an essential role in the lives of
adolescents, and they contribute to the child’s mental state (Coll et al, 1996). Adolescents’
mental health usually transfers, and they reflect on their lives when they are fully grown adults.
Adolescents who are used to being in a certain way will know that is the way of life and adapt to
that. A child from an abusive home where no actions are being taken to end will look at it as n
regular act and thus conform to it, and in the future, they will adapt and therefore have the same
problem they have (Paris et al, 2019). A child who grows up in a bad neighborhood will have the
same mental state in the future in which they will start to see it as usual and therefore conform
to life.
Garcia Coll Model
The inhibiting or promoting environment and the parents’ areas are significant models of
discussion for this project since we look at how these two models contribute to adolescents’
mental health (Coll et al, 1996). Teenagers are susceptible; they listen to almost everything since
their hormones take the better part of their lives, and they find everything confusing. The
inhibiting environment and mental health are points in which one has to be careful with the
environment the adolescent is comfortable with since that environment heavily influences them.
The parents’ areas also play an essential role since they have the power to make their children
what they would like them to be, and this is where they need to be super understanding and very
supportive and guiding them (Bakri & Cob, 2020). They shape their children at this time.
Erik Erikson’s Psychosocial Theory of Development
This theory looks at the challenges of people’s different stages of life and thus proposes that even
children, as they grow, will meet the challenges reflected in their growth stage. For adolescents
to overcome their challenges, anyone, in particular, must face the challenge with a positive
attitude (Orenstein & Lewis, 2021). Thus the obstacle will be dealt with sooner with fewer
problems than panicking.
The goal of this project is to create an elaborative map of adolescents’ mental health, from the
causes to how to notice them, and then finally to how they can be dealt with. Mental health can
only be sold individually except for other forms of mental problems. The best way is through
observance, whereby the focus is on one person, especially a victim, and the goal is to learn their
patterns, and this is the most effective way to know what the patient needs, and, thus, help can
be found easily.
I decided to tackle mental health since this is the one topic that is not given much focus on, but
the teens of today are facing various challenges, and thus, it is essential to know why and how
they can be helped. This will be addressed through a seminar that can be organized. Therefore it
will create a sensitization effect where the issue that will be of focus will reach a multitude in a
well-explained presentation. The primary audience for this project would be parents, there are
two contributing factors according to the Garcia Coll model, but the most important is the parent.
The environment one has no control over and even finances can be an issue, but the one way to
achieve this is through the parents, who need to know in depth. This project will probably help
save lives and break bad habits and patterns of people suffering from their teen lives to their
adulting years.
