As stated in the textbook, the motivation to belong is an important part of human life. Consumers are generally social creatures who desire contact and affiliation with others. As a result, consumers often belong to a number of formal or informal groups. These groups can exert significant influence on consumer behavior. Go to LinkedIn, and create a LinkedIn account if you have not already done so (see “LinkedIn 101” for more details). In this week’s blog post, discuss two to three (2-3) methods in which a business could use LinkedIn to influence consumer behavior. (Hint: See Chapter 8 in the textbook for more details).
COMMUNICATION
You have been planning a family vacation for months. You have booked the hotel and purchased non-refundable airline tickets. One week before you are scheduled to go on your vacation, a coworker has told your manager that he needs to take the next week off, your vacation week, for a family emergency. Your manager has told you that you have to miss your vacation in order to cover your coworker’s shift, which means you will lose your hotel deposit and airline tickets. Your coworker has had several family emergencies during the past six months. You have been willing to cover for him until now.
ASIIGNMENT
Your supervisor has asked to you write a brief email on the vacation policy changes to be distributed to staff. You have just finished up and have sent your newly constructed email to the staff. Now, you must call your supervisor and leave a voice mail response updating him or her that you have sent out the new vacation policy email to staff. Once you create your voice mail message, be sure to attach it when submitting this assignment.
