The thought of going through an MRI scanner can be scary for any patient, especially if the procedure is being administered for the first time. It can even be difficult for children because of their misunderstanding, which necessitates the use of general anesthesia to allow a smooth MRI scan. This study shows a significant improvement in the children’s anxiety score after watching the educational video application. On average, children who utilized the educational video application well depicted their courage and readiness for the MRI scan without general anesthesia. However, age was a key factor since older children displayed a greater reduction in anxiety compared to younger children. Variation in the outcome was also affected by the scanner size. More patient cooperation with the MRI scan was observed among children in larger scanners compared to those in smaller scanners.
