Training and personal experience play a critical role in the successful implementation of
organizational change. Woiceshyn (2020)states that achieving change within an
organization , it would take the efforts of both employess and managers in ensuring
success. Training provides employees with the necessary tools and techniques to
perform their roles effectively within the new framework. Without proper training,
employees may struggle to understand their roles in the new structure, leading to
confusion, resistance, and even failure of the change initiative. Personal experience also
adds significant value to the implementation process. Employees who have firsthand
experience with the change are often in the best position to understand its nuances,
challenges, and benefits As Anderson (2020) explains that personally learning and
experience has been essential to an organization development sinc ethe 1940s. This
experience enables them to not only adapt quickly but also to provide valuable feedback
to leadership on what is working and what needs adjustment. Moreover, when employees
see how the changes directly impact their day-to-day responsibilities, they are more
likely to feel invested in the process and committed to making it succeed. Incorporating
both training and personal experience into the change process helps to build confidence
and competence among employees. Training serves as a foundation for understanding the
required changes, while personal experience allows individuals to refine their skills and
knowledge over time.. When employees feel supported through these channels, they are
more likely to embrace the change, helping the organization achieve its goals and ensure
long-term success. Therefore, both training and personal experience are essential for
navigating the complexities of organizational change and driving sustainable
transformation.

The Importance of Training and Personal Experience in Organizational Change
Organizational change is a multifaceted phenomenon that encompasses
various levels and dimensions, as outlined by Anderson (2020). The
strategies employed to equip individuals with the requisite skills and
knowledge are central to the success of any change initiative within an
organization. Training, mentorship, coaching, and personal experience are
essential components, as they lay the foundation for effective
implementation and sustainable transformation. In this essay, we will explore
the significance of training and personal experience in facilitating
organizational change, looking at their contributions to employee
preparedness, engagement, and adaptability.
One of the most compelling justifications for the emphasis on training
during periods of organizational change lies in its ability to enhance employee
preparedness. When an organization changes—be it structural, technological,
or procedural—employees often face the daunting task of adapting to new
roles or technologies. Training programs serve as a vital resource that equips
individuals with the necessary skills to navigate these transitions confidently.
Changes occur at organizational levels through the development of new
strategies and processes, visions for a new desired future, and major system
practices that affect all organizational members. First-order changes are
alterations and changes to existing practice. There are several ways an
organization can change; planning, magnitude, and continuity (Anderson,
2020).
Over the years, I have witnessed remarkable growth in my clinic,
particularly in the realm of radiographic technology. When I first embarked on
my professional journey, the process of developing X-rays was labor-
intensive and time-consuming. We relied on manual development techniques,
utilizing chemical solutions to process the films. This method required
meticulous attention to detail and a significant investment of time, as it
typically took about fifteen minutes to obtain the final images.
As our clinic evolved, we transitioned to using a processing machine,
which streamlined the development process. This advancement allowed us to
automate the feeding of films into the processor, thereby reducing the
manual effort required. Although this innovation improved efficiency, the wait
time for results remained a challenge, impacting our ability to provide timely
care to our patients.
Today, we are fortunate to operate with a state-of-the-art digital
radiographic system. This technological leap has transformed our workflow
dramatically. With digital X-rays, images appear on our screens almost
instantaneously after capture, facilitating immediate analysis and diagnosis.
This not only enhances our operational efficiency but also significantly
improves patient experience by reducing wait times for results. I feel that
with continuous growth and the proper training, changes within your
organization can be prosperous.
Clement states that management leadership is a critical element in
organizational change efforts. Employees will respond better to managers/
leaders than external consultants (Clement, 1994). It is through targeted
training that employees gain the confidence and competence required to
adapt to new realities, while personal experience provides the practical
context needed to make sense of these changes. Additionally, mentorship
and coaching are crucial in fostering a supportive environment where
individuals feel empowered to take risks and learn from their experiences. As
organizations increasingly recognize the importance of these factors, they
position themselves for not only successful change implementation but also
lasting transformation that is responsive to the dynamic nature of today’s
organizational landscape.

1. Being a travel agent involves helping clients plan and book various travel-related
services, including flights, accommodations, car rentals, and tours. Travel agents work
with clients to understand their preferences, budget, and schedules, and then provide
customized travel solutions. This profession requires strong customer service skills,
attention to detail, and knowledge of destinations, travel products, and booking systems.
The project objective of a travel agent is to successfully organize and manage travel plans
for clients. This includes sourcing and booking the best travel options according to the
client’s requirements, ensuring all arrangements are confirmed, and providing guidance
on travel documentation, such as visas or travel insurance. The goal is to meet the client’s
expectations while maintaining profitability for the agency. “In the travel agency business
processes throughout the enterprise, such as tourism and the production, marketing,
quality control, marketing plans, pricing, human resources, scheduling, service and
finance, as a complete value chain of tourism enterprises, tourism product sale is a core
business, whether the core business is good or bad depends on the market and the
customer.” (Wei, M. 2010)
“The project scope is all the work that must be done in order to produce all the project
deliverables (the tangible product or items to be provided), satisfy the customer that the
deliverables meet the requirement and acceptance criteria, and accomplish the project
objective.” (Gido, J. 2017) The scope of this project includes research and booking of
transportation, accommodations, and activities based on the client’s preferences. It may also
involve providing travel advice, such as offering destination tips, arranging itineraries, and
organizing guided tours. Additionally, the travel agent ensures the logistics are executed
seamlessly, including handling changes, cancelations, or any disruptions during the trip.
The critical path for the travel agent project includes several key milestones that must be
completed on time for the overall project to succeed. These include finalizing the client’s travel
dates, booking flights and accommodations, confirming transportation, issuing tickets, and
providing the client with travel details and emergency contacts. Delays in any of these steps
could affect the entire trip schedule.
Resources for this project include booking software, travel guides, airlines, hotels, car rental
agencies, local tour operators, and communication tools for interacting with clients.
Additionally, travel agents need access to online platforms, industry contacts, and payment
systems to complete transactions efficiently.

2.)
A logistics organization is currently at maximum capacity for storage and transportation
procedures at their current facility in Nashville, Tennessee. The result has caused delays in
shipments due to being at maximum capacity and not having enough resources to transport
goods. The organization ultimately needs to expand its infrastructure to facilitate more storage
and more employees. The project chosen by a logistics organization is to construct a new
warehouse. The project objective is to construct a new warehouse within twenty-four months.
The parameters involve locating a plot of land that can facilitate a 100,000 square foot facility,
200 trailers, and 50 tractors. The location must be located on the west side of Nashville, which
places it strategically at the opposite end of the city from the other terminal (Gido, p.105, 2017).
The project scope will involve multiple departments seeing through the undertaking of this
project. The organization will need a zoning team to locate and assess adequate locations to
determine the most suitable plot of land to build upon. Construction crews to build the
warehouse along with constructing parking zones around the facility. IT crews must also be on
site to install software programs that integrate into the existing organization’s main frame. The
needs of the client are to be able to move into a completely operational logistics warehouse to
split the workload from the existing terminal. The warehouse must be completely functional
upon completion within the twenty-four-month mark to stay aligned with parameters of
completion (Harrin, p.VI, 2013). The project faces three critical paths: purchasing of land,
acquiring proper zoning permits, and constructing the warehouse. The land must adequately
provide routes that allow full-sized tractor trailer semis with full-length trailers to pass freely
and unhindered by surrounding areas. Zoning permits can potentially have a lengthy wait period
depending on pending zoning permits already being applied for in the area. The construction
itself involves breaking ground and building an entirely new warehouse. This is a major
undertaking and can face potential setbacks such as weather and resource delays (Nazymko,
p.1, 2024). Resources that will be used include financial backing from the client and other
potential investors. Further resources involve external relationships to receive zoning permits
and construction companies to complete the project. Resources will also include raw building
materials (Gido, p.5, 2017).
