Assignment
Take your moral values identified from the module two discussion and develop
the same for “you as a professional.” You will need to find your
industry/professional code of ethics that informs what you do/ or did as a
professional (i.e. nurse, teacher, other). Use the same framework approach as
you begin to inform/define the professional values (in the framed/shaped
column) and any other influence that shaped your professional practices.
Then, analyze your moral key values (you can select up to three) and compare
and contrast them with the “professional you” values you identified. I am looking
for a self-analysis of your sense of you within this context. That is, compare and
contrast your values as “personal you” and “professional you.” Define and
explain them (what do they mean?). Are there any conflicts? Explore and
share. Integrate videos and readings and cite where/when appropriate. Ask a
question of at least one classmate and respond to at least one of your
classmates’ question.

PS: Offer insight to your personal and professional values in terms of how
they were shaped. You can compare and contrast. How were your
professional values shaped or influenced? Consider the meta ethics process
in a simple way: Focus on whether your framing was based on emoting
factors in terms of why they are important to you, or to what degree your
values were based on reason. This will be especially true when offering your
reflections in terms of professional values shaping. Who are you morally?
Who are you professionally (in terms of ethical values)? How are they the
same? How are they different? Dr. St. Clair.
