A sample is a subset of a population. ” Sampling is random, so that each member of a population has an equal chance of being selected (Groebner, 1).” Once the approximate number is discussed I would move onto the appropriate ratio of the population to survey. That could be a third, fourth, fifth or even half of the population. Depending upon my status as a student, my opinion can be valued in the survey as well. Upon completion of this task, my next step would be to coordinate a list of questions but not too many because it is a simple survey.
