The primary health care issues in my community are infection and obesity. To decrease infection issues one can practice proper hygienic hand washing. Also, Wearing appropriate PPE and clean and disinfecting surfaces. At this current moment of our lives living in the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand the importance of following the CDC guidelines to stay safe and healthy. The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the importance of optimal hand hygiene practice to reduce cross-contamination and spread the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the disease (World Health Organization (WHO) 2020a. Hillier MD Pg 45). As a nurse, I will practice frequent handwashing, wearing protective gear, disinfecting surfaces, and equipment before using them on my patients. (Public Health Agency).

Another significant issue is obesity. Poor nutrition and lack of regular physical exercise among people in the community have led to increased obesity. Poor nutrition has further increased chronic medical complications such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and high blood pressure, significantly raising the number of admitted patients in our hospitals (Obesity, 2019). As a nurse, I would get involved in this solution implementation by organizing public meetings and rallies to advise the community on adopting the right nutrition methods and regular exercise.

n the contemporary California community, specific health issues remain apparent. The coronavirus pandemic is a significant healthcare issue affecting the California community (Chen et al. 2020). The recent healthcare issue has a significant impact since it has affected over 2,500,000 individuals. Over 28,000 deaths have been attributed to the virus in the community. The healthcare issue limits the interactions of humans within the state, limiting the financial ability of the population. In such a way, specific solutions must be identified to help manage the health crisis in the state. The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect millions of individuals across the world since it lacks a proven treatment. The effects of the virus can only be managed to preserve the well being of the patient. However, specific solutions must be offered to ascertain that the pandemic is managed accordingly (Ferguson et al. 2020). One of the major solutions is to ensure that individuals wear masks at all times. The masks reduce the risk of spreading the virus to ascertain that fewer people are getting infected. Another solution is to promote the immunity of the populations through total vaccination of the population which has just started. I might be involved in implementing the solutions by volunteering at CORE testing sides, educating, and training the population in mask-wearing and social distancing.
