question.
a) Use the qualitative random variable (Blood Type) in the excel sheet to
construct an appropriate two type of graphs. Use your name as a title of
the graphs.
b) Use the quantitative random variable (Age) in excel sheet to construct a
boxplot and histogram and identify outlier if any.
c) Use the quantitative random variable (Age) in excel sheet to conduct
the descriptive statistics for center and dispersion.
Q2: [2 marks] The Weight of female student is normally distributed with a
mean of 65 kg and a standard deviation of 9 KG.
a) What percentage of a female student population has weight exceeds by
67kg?
b) Find the weight where 20% of a female student have weights less than
this weight.
Q3: [2 marks] Generate a sample of size 200 using a Poisson distribution
with mean 21.
a) Calculate the sample mean and standard deviation.
b) Calculate the five numbers summary.
c) Construct the histogram of the data.
Q4: [3 marks] A student conducted a survey of 16 students and found
that the average time spent online on the social media platform was
26 hours per week with a standard deviation of 6.5 hours. A sociology
professor claimed that university students spend an average of 24
hours per week on social media platform.
a) Construct a 99% confidence interval for the average time.
b) Test at level α = 0.05 the claim that the average time is different from 24
hours.
c) Repeat part (b) if the number of students is 36.
