staffsurvey.sav Final Project.mp4Final Project
IBM has provided a staff survey data set for various analyses used for the Marketing
department under the New York office. Please see attached codebook.
Your boss wants a proper statistical analysis from beginning to end. Start with the basic
statistical procedures we have talked about in the beginning of the class. Do you notice any
specific trends? Is there missing data? How do the variables correlate with each other? Create
some kind of hypothesis to test the use of technology. Your boss wants you to conduct at the
minimum each of the following: cross tabulation, regression analysis, cluster analysis, factor
analysis, loglinear model analysis. If you do a great job, you will be eligible for a pay raise.,
This will be testing you in the following concepts we have learned this semester:
Descriptive statistics, Log Linear Modeling, Classification, Data Reduction, Scale Reliability
Analysis among others. We are excited to see what you come up with!
For Loan Stats data:
The Lending Club is a lending company based on San Franscisco, CA. They connect borrowers with
investors through an online marketplace. They have provided a publicly available data from 2007 2011. Please see the data with its data dictionary (This is in another separate excel sheet which
explains what all the variables mean). This is a messy data set (on purpose) so it is up to you to clean
the data and figure out how to do a proper statistical analysis from beginning to end. You are an
analyst outsourced to help the Lending Club figure out how to best see what kind o f customers they
have to optimize their marketing.
Third option: You may choose a topic of your own, create some hypotheses based on the data
(There are many places to find data online including Kaggle.com). Make sure at least there
are 6-7 columns of data with at least 30 observations.
For project proposal:
Project proposal
Your proposal should have a title, should be well organized, a list of your group
members. One person can email it to me from each group. What are the claims
being tested? Lately, there should be a timeline for the project.
These items should be in your proposal.
•
A list of the group members with correct spellings of first and last names
•
•
•
•
The title of the project
The claims being tested within the data set.
At least a couple of the methods discussed in class (3-4 minimum) not
including descriptive statistics: 1 or 2 sample mean tests , Proportions, a full
Regression analysis, ANOVA, two independent means, or paired means,
discrete analysis, cluster analysis, factor analysis etc. Nonparametric tests
can be done on distributions that are not normal.
A timeline for completion of the project. Be sure to look at the calendar for
when things are due, what else is going on in class, and plan accordingly.
Written report
This must be double spaced and printed. I want no more than 7 pages and at least
4 pages. It should have an abstract (basic introduction at the minimum) to the
problem with the claim being tested, the context of the data, any problems with
collecting the data.
Descriptive statistics, appropriate graphs and tables
Inferential statistics with a null and alternate hypothesis
Statistical outputs including test statistics and p-values
Summary and final conclusions of the project
Suggestions for going beyond the project.
Oral presentation via Zoom
This will be a 5 minute presentation with 2 minutes of Q&A, so a total of 7
minutes.
The powerpoint should at the minimum include an introduction of the topic, what
data used, statistical methods used for the descriptive and inferential statistics,
interesting trends you noticed, results, things your group did and what your group
would like to do in the future to make this project even better.
Hi All,
Please see example project in the resources as well as this link here for a statistical paper:
https://www.greatlakes.edu.in/pdf/PurbaRao.pdf
Remember the requirements for our project are not quite the same so the example project is only a small
percentage of what I’m looking for. Make sure you have a proper hypothesis and follow directions on the
project document. Include methods we have learned throughout the class.
Please use your own words for your final paper and project. Here are some examples of MLA or APA
format (either one is fine. There are more websites out there). If you want to take any words, please quote
them and follow the format. If you copy anything online without citing, this will affect your status from
the school (consequences can be severe including expulsion) so please follow properly.

$8How Our Dissertation Writing Service Works
First, you will need to complete an order form. It's not difficult but, if anything is unclear, you may always chat with us so that we can guide you through it. On the order form, you will need to include some basic information concerning your order: subject, topic, number of pages, etc. We also encourage our clients to upload any relevant information or sources that will help.
Complete the order formOnce we have all the information and instructions that we need, we select the most suitable writer for your assignment. While everything seems to be clear, the writer, who has complete knowledge of the subject, may need clarification from you. It is at that point that you would receive a call or email from us.
