“venue” and explain what that means and if

Identify the Specific Charges against the
Defendant:
• Address the legal charges by finding the
exact charge.
• Identify if there were federal or state
charges and cite the statute.
• Identify the exact statutes involved and list
the elements that the prosecutor must
prove for a conviction;
• Identify the “lessor included” offenses that
the jury could convict the defendant upon.
• Explain what the difference is between
felony and a misdemeanor criminal charge is
and identify if the charges are a felony or
misdemeanor and the fines/penalties
involved.

inchoate crime? Explain both of these terms

• Identify the specific defenses used by the

that case that the plaintiff must carry to
win?
Appeals:
• Criminal Appeals can be based on “mistakes
of law” and not “mistakes of fact”. Explain
what these mean (in context of an appeal—
not in the context of a trial)
• Are there any grounds for an appeal for the
losing side? If so, explain them.
• What does the term “Habeas Corpus” mean
and how would it apply to this case for
grounds for appeal?
Conclusion:
